The Stonewall riots are generally recognized as the catalyst for many LGBT rights movements in the late 1960s to 1980s. However, it is less known that both the riots and the Stonewall Inn had ties to the mafia. This short book uses found text and images to recount the mafia's exploitation of the LGBT community in Manhattan's West Side, and how that eventually led to the iconic riots.
